2016 Senior Healthcare Leaders’ Training Programme at Cambridge
The 2016 Senior Healthcare Leaders’ Training Programme at Cambridge co-organised by UK-Medu was successfully accomplished today. More than 30 hospital heads and senior leaders from medical organisations in China participated in the programme.
Participants learned about the National Health Service, the British GP system, the relationship between the primary and secondary medical institutions in the UK and the operation of Cambridge University Teaching Hospital. They also visited Cavendish Laboratory and a NHS Trust in London. In addition, Dr Chen Fangping, Chief Executive of the 3rd Xiangya Hospital of Central South University, delivered a talk on ‘The use of digital Resources in Healthcare in China’.
The participants mentioned in their speeches that they have learnt useful knowledge to improve their management skills, widened their international vision through face-to-face communication with British medical leaders and experts. In addition, this programme strengthened the cooperation links between medical organisations in China and the UK.
UK-Medu has engaged in building the exchange and cooperation platform for Chinese hospitals and the medical organisations in the UK, to provide help and support to hospitals in professional development training, to improve their administrative ability and service quality.
