Kevin Liu visited the first high energy proton cancer therapy centre in the UK with the invitation from Professor Karol Sikora, founder, and Mike Moran, CEO of Proton Partners International on 25th Aug 2020 to discuss about strategic collaborations and development in the future.

On 25th Aug 2020, UK-Medu welcomed Adrian Alexander, ex-councilor of Oldham and famous Rugby Player, Steve Turner (Oldham Councilor, member of the directorial board of United the Union, and Chris Hamilton, the president of the Oldham Rugby League Football Club, committee member of the Education Committee with Unite the Union and Senior Advisor of UK-Medu to discuss about the long term collaboration in the field of medicine and education.

UK-Medu collaborated with Shijiazhuang Hi-Tech Industrial Development Zone, with the assistance of SJZ Science and Technology Centre to host the 2020 International Pharmaceutical Industry Exchange Forum between China and UK on 20th Aug 2020 8am to 1030am.

In order to promote continuous innovation in the field of medical technology and effectively promote the information exchange and cooperation between China and Britain, the “2020 China-UK IMIEF” is now scheduled to be held on 20th August 2020.

A special donation of 2000 surgical masks and 600 N95 masks were made to Salford Royal Hospital on 11th August to help the healthcare workers amidst the Covid-19 pandemic.

On 22nd July, Xianning Central Hospital once again entrusted UK-Medu to donate a thousand N95 masks to York Teaching Hospital to further aid them during this pandemic.

As an effort to combat COVID-19 and provide advice to better manage diabetes, UK-Medu collaborated with the Chinese Community Doctors Magazine for the second time this year with the support of Novo Nordisk (China) on 3rd of July 2020 to host a webinar for the GPs from UK and China to discuss about the topic.

During the critical period in combating the worldwide pandemic, UK-Medu has donated personal protective equipment (PPE) such as facemasks to the local hospitals. On 27th May and 29th May 2020, UK-Medu has donated 480 N95 facemasks to York Teaching Hospital and 800 surgical masks to Salford Royal Hospital respectively.

During the outbreak of COVID-19, UK-Medu actively participated in the combat against this pandemic. On 16th April 2020, an appreciation letter was received from St Ann's Hospice for the masks donation that was a collaborative effort between UK-Medu and Henan Chinese Association.

UK-Medu and Manchester China Forum hosted an online conference with the support of Qilu Pharmaceutical Co. Ltd from 9:00-1030 (Beijing Time 16:00-17:30) on 12th May 2020 between The Christie Hospital and Hubei Cancer Hospital. Over 68 experts and related staff participated in the conference to share their experiences to help combat the pandemic.

During the 10th World Family Doctor Day on 19th May 2020, UK-Medu collaborate with the Chinese Community Doctors Magazine to host an online conference for the GPs between UK and China to discuss the importance of GPs during this pandemic and exchange experiences that are beneficial for future practice.

On 17 April 2020, UK-Medu continued its effort to contribute towards the fight against COVID-19 by hosting a second online conference between Xianning Central Hospital and York Teaching Hospital.

During the outbreak of COVID-19, UK-Medu actively participated in the combat against this pandemic. Besides donating money and medical equipment to support the motherland, UK-Medu also generously donated personal protective equipment (PPE) that is highly demanded by the hospitals.

UK-Medu was honoured to host an online conference on 8th April 2020 for the Central Hospital of Wuhan and the Salford Royal Foundation Trust. The conference aims to provide a platform for the Chinese doctors to share their valuable experience from combating the virus in order to help the doctors in the UK to better combat Covid-19 while promoting the Sino-British medical cooperation and friendship.

The progress of the Covid-19 pandemic has impacted all of us ever since the outbreak of the cruel virus. UK-Medu and Radic8 had worked together and support Wuhan City through donations of the highly effective antiviral technology, Viruskiller™.

On 18th February 2020. Mr Kevin Liu, Director and Mr Gao WeiJia, Training Programmes Director of UK-Medu discussed with the Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust Division of Integrated Care Management Committee for strategic cooperation. Both parties reached an agreement to cooperate on areas such as family doctors, community care and integrated care.

On 13rd February 2020, the management team of UK-Medu has met with Ms Alexandria Moseley, project manager of Cambridge Medical Technologies, to discuss about details of cooperation. The two sides agreed on working closely together on high-tech projects regarding the field of non-intrusive test measurements.

UK-Medu and HEATON MOORE MEDICAL CENTRE had successfully completed the family doctor clinical internship training project on 31st Jan 2020.

The Pre-trip Meeting of TEMC & BHGF the Third Session of Medical Specialists for Training Programme around Manchester Areas of UK Successfully Completed.

2017 Senior Chinese Healthcare Leaders Training Programme on Pharmacy was successfully held at Cambridge University. UK-Medu is honoured to organise this training programme for over 40 hospital pharmacy leaders from 16 provinces.

The “2017 Hospital Financial Management Training Programme” has been completed successfully this month. More than 40 hospital financial administrators from 17 provinces and cities in China participated in this programme, in which, President Xu Yonggang from ShaanXi Provincial People's Hospital was selected to be the group leader.

On the afternoon of 21st May 2017, under the support of The International Emergency Management Society Emergency Medical Committee (TEMC), The Pre-trip Meeting of the Third Session of Medical Specialists for Training Programme around Manchester of UK organized by Beijing Huatong Guokang Foundation (BHGF), was held successfully in Beijing. Thirty-two excellent physicians, coming from 13 provinces in China respectively, are scheduled to fulfill the three-month training task in five hospitals around Manchester areas. The five British host hospitals all belong to the National Health Service (NHS) of United Kingdom.

2017 Senior Chinese Healthcare Leaders Training Programme on Mental Health was successfully held at Manchester University this month. UK-Medu is honoured to co-organised this training programme with the School of Health Sciences. Around 20 hospital heads and senior leaders from 15 provinces in China attended this programme.

This May, thirty-three consultant doctors of different disciplines, coming from 17 provinces in China, fulfilled their three-month training in six hospitals around Manchester areas. The six British host hospitals all belong to the National Health Service (NHS) of United Kingdom.

Thirty excellent doctors from different places of China were sent to England this September for the Chinese Doctors Advanced Training Programme in North-West England. They have successfully completed the three-months study in six hospitals around Manchester.
