The 2nd Cohort of Chinese Doctors Have Successfully Completed the Advanced Training Programme in North-West England
This May, thirty-three consultant doctors of different disciplines, coming from 17 provinces in China, fulfilled their three-month training in six hospitals around Manchester areas. The six British host hospitals all belong to the National Health Service (NHS) of United Kingdom.
Doctor Jin Jialin from Huashan Hospital of Fudan University, served as the group leader in this programme, mentioned in her graduation speech that all the doctors studied hard, took care of each other and tried their best to fulfil their training task in the hospital. All the doctors will share their study experience in the UK with their colleagues back home.
Interviews were carried out before the training programme to select doctors with good English level and advanced professional skills. English language experts and medical science professionals were invited to provide a two weeks’ preparation session at the beginning of the programme.
During their training, the doctors’ performance won recognition from the medical institutes. We believe their learning results will also benefit their hospitals in China.
UK-Medu has engaged in building the exchange and cooperation platform for Chinese hospitals and the medical organisations in the UK, to provide help and support to hospitals in professional development training, to improve their administrative ability and service quality.
